During my internship, I reverse-engineered the power management system of an electric two-wheeler vehicle. This involved the design and simulation of buck converters using Texas Instruments' WEBENCH Circuit Designer for automotive-grade applications. I utilized Altium Designer for PCB creation, ensuring precision and compliance with automotive standards. Additionally, I conducted simulations of high-power switching between two parallel batteries using LTspice, optimizing the power delivery and management system for efficiency and reliability in electric vehicle applications.
In addition to creating PCBs using Altium Designer, I also played a key role in integrating vehicle sensor data transmission to open-source cloud platforms. This provided real-time monitoring and enhanced system diagnostics, contributing to a more robust and efficient electric vehicle design.
I researched and contributed to an ongoing company project focused on data uploading and logging using Arduino and GSM SIM modules. My role encompassed circuit design, hardware product research, prototyping, and testing. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of the hardware development process and enabled me to contribute meaningfully to the project's success.
Being a core member of Team Arrow for over 2.5 years was a transformative journey for me. As the Project Lead for Communication, I played a pivotal role in managing the communication interface between our UAV and the ground control station. This involved designing a robust wireless network infrastructure, using switches and routers to ensure uninterrupted data flow. One of the most challenging yet rewarding tasks was developing an antenna tracker mechanism, ensuring our UAV remained consistently tracked throughout its missions.
Our efforts culminated in participating in the prestigious AUVSI SUAS competition in Maryland, where we placed 14th in 2022 and improved to 5th place in 2023. These achievements were a testament to the teamwork, innovation, and relentless problem-solving that defined our time in Team Arrow. Additionally, we competed in SAE Aerothon in Bangalore, India, where we earned 5th place overall and the Best Manual Flight Mission Award, further showcasing our ability to excel in real-world challenges.
These experiences gave me invaluable lessons in leadership, technical innovation, and teamwork, solidifying my role as an integral member of Team Arrow.
As the Electronics Team Lead for Team Solidino, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the state government-funded national-level robotics competition, GUJCOST ROBOFEST 3.0, in the hexapod category. Our journey was both challenging and rewarding, as we successfully navigated through all two stages of the competition, ultimately securing the runners-up position and winning a total prize of 10 lakhs.
Our team's innovation shone through in the design, manufacturing, and development of a hexapod robot that was capable of performing a variety of complex tasks. From obstacle avoidance and climbing stairs to live video streaming and night vision capabilities, our robot demonstrated advanced functionality and versatility. This experience not only honed my technical skills but also reinforced the importance of collaboration and creativity in achieving success in high-stakes environments.
